HEY THERE, I'M Wai Yan:
By day, I am a Computer Engineering Student venturing into the world of AI, Robotics & IOT as I build my ideas into reality. I am consistently upscaling to provide value for my surroundings with a strong belief that the "FUTURE is about creating VALUE".
By night, I am the Head of the Office Staff Assistant (OSA) Team as well as assisting the Estate Department at Hwa Chong Institution Boarding School (HCIBS). Currently, I'm leading a team of 9 university students who are also assisting the boarding school in various departments. As the Head of the OSA Team, I am in charge of leading my team in various projects and tasks carried out in the boarding school and taking care of their welfare.

Mechatronics & Robotics Intern (Operations & Deployment) - Botsync Pte. Ltd.
Research and Testing Operations
- Developed comprehensive testing of cutting-edge algorithms developed for robot navigation and workflow enhancement while collaborating proactively with the software team to implement refinements, ensuring optimal performance.
Conduct Robotics Demostrations
- Spearheaded compelling robot demonstrations tailored to clients, effectively showcasing the company AMRs’ capabilities. Driven by a commitment to results, these demonstrations contributed significantly to increased sales and deeper client engagement.
Deployment of AMRs
- Directed and coordinated the seamless deployment of the AMRs at CATERPILLAR Logistics Warehouse, ensuring the automation of their work processes. Currently spearheading preparations for the imminent deployment of AMRs at KEMIN Industries.

- Provided dedicated service and support for AMRs at Bolloré Logistics (SG), Mahindra Logistics (India), Sanmina Corporation (SG), Kemin Industries (Asia) Pte Ltd, and Wong Fong Engineering Works (SG), ensuring seamless operation and client satisfaction.

Head of Office Staff Assistant (OSA) Team (Partime) - Hwa Chong Institution Boarding School
Training and Welfare Care for Office-Staff Assistants
- Trained and supervised 5 NUS students on office duties and student welfare, resulting in a significant decrease in errors and a remarkable improvement in quality work.
Execution of the Boarding School Tour for HCI Sec-1 students & their parents
- Led a team of four Student Group Leaders and together with four Office Staffs to provide a valuable opportunity for prospective students and parents to gain insight into the boarding school's facilities, student rooms, while managing students' administrative matters, resulting in a distinctive increase in self-financing students living in the boarding school.
Estate Project Checks
- Conduct weekly checks on the progress and the quality of the work of the Estate projects that are being conducted around the boarding school to ensure the contractor satisfy the requirements and the quality of the project, greatly increasing the chances of timely completion and successful outcomes.

Supervised Interns from ITE College East
- Managed and trained a total of 5 interns from ITE College East, contributing to an initial increase in workflow efficiency.
Preparation of the Function Room for World Cup 2022 Finals
- Successfully prepared the Function Room for the World Cup 2022 finals, ensuring a seamless viewing experience for 50+ boarders within an hour by setting up projectors, audio system, laptop, comfortable sitting areas as well as bite-sized snacks and refreshments on the ready.
Conduct Room & Facilities' Cleanliness Inspections and Defect Maintenance
- Conducted daily cleanliness and defect inspections across 7 6th-story buildings & other facilities to identify & conduct maintenance on defects & safety issues, ensuring compliance with regulations & boarding school standards.

Annual Logistics Check
- Ensured the logistics' quality and quantity throughout the boarding school and Compiled the Logistics Data in an Excel Sheet to then be used to create barcodes for each logistics to enhance the speed of future checks.
Frontend Web-Design for Defect and Cleaning Report System
- Developed the sitemap plan for the Frontend and Backend Process for HCIBS defect and cleaning report system, streamlining the process for the web developer to build and deploy the website.
Tender Evaluation for Boarding School Cleaning Service
- Conducted 3 analysis of 8 different Cleaning Services tenders and identified the best value and
quality service provider, while engaging in communication with various companies, greatly boosting the speed of the evaluation process..
